Default Conjure Spells Clarification please

With the new update it seems that this might be useful. But I am not sure if this stacks just to your basic wanding or does this add ontop of skills damage also. For instance Fireball does 100 DMG but with Conjure does it do 113DMG now? Thanks guys.

The Conjure spells do additional damage with attacks from weapons, not spells. So if your fiery weapon does 11-22 and conjure flame does 16 you will see 2 numbers float up, one for weapon and one for conjure, like 19 + 16. Armor, level, etc is factored in.

No, the Conjure spells still take armour into account.

That is correct, I've seen some fairly minimal damage numbers from them but also big numbers when used in an earlier area in the game, so armor is definitely factored it.

You will see people state that an elementalist should not use conjure spells on themselves and that they are only for secondaries, like a ra/el with a fiery bow, but you can use a conjure to increase your attack damage and thus not bring a spell like flare. So just attack rather than spam flare for roughly equivalent damage and it can be viewed as a means of energy management.

This isn't for all builds and may be better used in the early/mid part of the game when you don't have a lot of choices for gaining energy, but is something to consider.

You can do it with the fire wand and just rodgorts.

You wand is likely already fire dmg, so that's all it takes.
